Rob
resides in the Town of Walpole with his wife Chrissy and their three
children Samantha 7, Robert 6 and Jessica 4 years old.
Rob Barletta serves as the General Manager of the Iorio Arena in
Walpole MA. This includes scheduling all ice and running all programs
for the arena. In addition Rob handles all duties for the 5.5 million
dollar dorm facility in front of the Iorio Arena.
July 2005 Rob formed the Walpole Express Jr Hockey team which plays
in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League. The Express was formed to
provide hockey players from across the country to develop into successful
scholar athletes. Academic excellence is something for which every
one of its players must strive for. Commitment, dedication, enthusiasm
as well as perseverance on and off the ice are the keys to opening
the doors to opportunity! Our intentions are to mold the complete
player, a highly educated, motivated young man with class and integrity.
Beginning with the 2006 – 2007 season the Express added a
MJHL team as well.
Rob owns and operates RB Hockey School (www.rbhockey.com).
In 1997 RB Hockey was formed with 8 players skating one hour a week.
This year we have over 70 summer programs seeing over 3,000 players.
To this day RB hockey is a family owned and operated business.
Rob owns and operates a youth hockey league call Northeast Elite
Hockey (www.nehhockey.com).
This past season the NEH had over 40 teams playing in 4 different
arenas in MA and RI. In the past 6 years over a thousand NEH players
have gone on to play High School Hockey. |

As
a coach and manager, Dalessio’s experience is extensive. Having
served as general manager of the Northern Cyclones AJHL and Met League teams,
as well as head coach of the Jr. B team, Dalessio was instrumental
in helping launch their junior program as they entered the AJHL
in 2004-05 and the MJHL in 2005-06.
During his years with the Cyclones, the Tier III AJHL team visited
the Finals for two straight years, winning the league championship
during the 2007-08 season, while also making consecutive semi-final
trips to the USAH Tier III National Championships. Dalessio
also guided the Cyclones Met team to back-to-back MJHL North division
championships and final four appearances. During the 2007-08 season
the Cyclones MJHL team was runner-up in both the MJHL Keegan Cup
and USAH Tier III Jr. B National Championships.
In 2008-2009 Tony joined the Walpole Express organization as General
Manager of both teams, also serving as Head Coach. Under
Dalessio the MJHL team won the regular season making them the 2009
Terry Scott Cup Champions. The following season Tony, as assistant
coach of the AJHL program, was instrumental in assembling what would
end up being the 2010 Presidents Cup Championship roster. In
addition to the League Championship the 2010 AJHL North Division
Champions had a successful showing at their first ever USAH Tier
III Jr. A Nationals appearance going 2-1 in the tournament.
Prior to his time with the Cyclones and Express organizations,
Dalessio was the head/assistant coach of their U18 AAA team. Before
that he served as assistant coach at Austin Prep High School. Earlier,
he served as head coach of the Eastern Mass Panthers U16 AAA.
Dalessio played his college hockey at UMass/Boston, an ECAC East
DIII contender. Prior to that he spent a season playing Canadian
Tier II Jr. A hockey for the Weyburn Red Wings in the Saskatchewan
Junior Hockey League.
Dalessio resides in Burlington, Mass with his wife Kristine and
their two boys Anthony, 5, and Paul, 3. |

Mark
Kumpel was born in Wakefield, Mass, and currently lives in Scarborough,
Maine with his wife Helen and daughter Chloe. Mark played professionally
for the Quebec Nordiques, the Detroit Redwings and the Winnipeg Jets.
He considered his greatest honor came playing for the U.S.A. Olympic
Ice Hockey team in Sarajevo in 1984.
Mark spent six years coaching Portland Pirates, the Washington
Capitols top development team in the AHL holding both assistant
and head coaching titles. Prior to these he held coaching positions
with Providence Bruins, Nashville Nights and Coach/GM title with
the Dayton Bombers in the ECHL.
Mark currently sits on U.S.A. Hockey board of directors as a director
at large and has been a member of the JR. Council for the past 16
years. Coaching in the USA Hockey National festivals has been a
focus over the years including two Head Coach positions of Team
U.S.A. Took the under 17 team to the Czech Republic winning a Silver
medal and the under the 16 team the following year to Slovakia to
a Gold Medal finish.
Mark attended the University of Lowell, where he studied Industrial
Technology and later studied sport management at Husson College.
He has had his level four U.S.A. Hockey coaching certificate since
1995.

Mike
comes to the organization with more than five years coaching experience
at a variety of levels, including tier 1 and tier II, as well as
at the high school level. Until his move to the Express, Tenney
was head coach at Conestoga (PA) Valley High School. He is currently
a level 4 USA Hockey certified coach.
During his 12 years as a player, Tenney skated for the Princeton
(NJ) Tigers youth organization, and was starting goalie at the Hun
School of Princeton, where he attended high school. As a senior,
he won the Dan Little Award for leadership, sportsmanship and dedication.
He attended Millersville (PA) University, where in 2008 he received
a bachelor’s degree in Communication Broadcasting and minored
in Sports Management.

Stephen Smink
MJHL Assistant Coach

Coach Smink was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Lancaster, PA. After graduating from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 2003, Stephen attended college at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. After two years as a part of the hockey team, Stephen made the decision that college was not the correct path for him at the time. Following this decision, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he spent four years serving his country. Stephen was stationed on the USS Frank Cable in Guam where he was a welder on the submarines. Immediately after his exit from the Navy, Stephen joined the Walpole Express MJHL team where he will serve as the Assistant Coach beginning with the 2011-12 season.

Ryan Hatch

Ryan
attended Mount St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket, RI where he was
a 3 year Varsity player. During those 3 years he won 3 state championship
and was named 1st team All-State 2 times and 2nd team All-State
once. Upon graduating from high school, Ryan played for the Lone
Star Cavalry in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). After his
first year of Junior hockey the team was moved to Santa Fe, NM where
he played for the Santa Fe Roadrunners.
After playing 2 years of Junior hockey Ryan attended Canisius College
where he spent 1 year before deciding that it was not a good fit
for him personally. He then transferred to Salem State where he
held the starting goaltending position for 3 years. During those
3 years Ryan was named athlete of the week on 4 occasions at Salem
State as well as winning the ECAC-East goalie of the week 3 times.
Also during those 3 years Ryan was a 2 time MVP for the team. At
the end of his senior season Ryan was name ECAC-East goalie of the
year. With opportunies to go play Minor pro, Ryan decided that it
was time to hang up the pads as his true love is in coaching and
helping young Athletes. |

David Cunniff

Cunniff returns for his fifth season as assistant coach for San
Jose’s top affiliate, the Worcester Sharks. Making his coaching
debut four seasons ago, Cunniff has played an integral role in assisting
Head Coach Roy Sommer in all coaching duties including video breakdown,
player assessment and scouting.
Cunniff's coaching efforts are primarily focused on the defensive
end. His presence on the Cleveland staff was pivotal in the rapid
development of several defensemen including Matt Carkner, Rob Davison,
Christian Ehrhoff, Jim Fahey, Josh Gorges, Doug Murray and Garrett
Stafford. With a focus on player development, Cunniff assists in
the Sharks Summer Development Camp and the Sharks Rookie Tournament.
For the past four seasons, Cunniff has been an instructor at the
San Jose Sharks Summer Hockey School. By doing so, he shared his
expertise with more than 200 campers ranging from age six to adult.
The son of the late NHL veteran and U.S. Olympic Team Coach John
Cunniff, David played eight seasons of professional hockey in the
American and East Coast Hockey Leagues. That stint included playing
two seasons under his father with the Albany River Rats in the AHL
(1998-00). After a one-year hiatus, he concluded his playing career
in the 2001-02 season with Louisiana and Richmond in the ECHL. In
268 AHL and ECHL games, Cunniff scored 82 points (38 goals and 44
assists) and posted 555 penalty minutes.
The South Boston native played his college hockey at Salem State
College and currently resides in Milton, MA with his wife Mary-Ann
and their two sons, Patrick and David. |

Mario Morrissette

Mario
Morrissette comes with an extensive resume to accompany his awesome
personality. Mario was born in Montreal, where he lived and played
hockey until relocating to Northern California several years ago.
Morrissette has played a major role in the recent success of the
California Cougars Tier Hockey. In 2002-03, his Cougars won the
Midget Tier I Championship in the Southwest Youth Hockey League.
In 2004-05, his Tier II Midget 16AA squad advanced to the Finals
of the California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) Tier I and Tier
II State Championships.
Morrissette also doubles as Head Coach for the Cougars Bantam A
program. Under his direction, the Cougars have won two of the last
three state championships. During the 2006-07 season his Tier II
Midget 16AA team finished 1st overall in the Dallas MLK Tournament
and the Colorado Springs Presidents Day Festival.
In recent years Coach Mario has had players advance to the USA
Hockey National Select Festival. However the true measure of Morrissette's
success with the Cougars Hockey is the number of players having
advanced to Junior or Collegiate hockey.
Morrisette has a strong bond with the Express organization having
moved a number of his players up from the Cougars. Among former
Cougar players to join the Express are Justin Fragoza, Joobin Mozaffarimehr,
Mico Solorzano and Jason Methot. |
